Jake Pendergrass has recently stepped into a Commercial Lending role, and he’s ready to partner with customer-owners across our communities to help move their operations forward.

Built on a Foundation of Agriculture 

Jake’s connection to agriculture isn’t just professional, it’s personal. 

Raised in Zolfo Springs, Jake grew up immersed in Florida agriculture and went on to earn a degree in citrus and horticultural sciences from Florida Southern College. His career has taken him through hands-on roles in citrus production, packing, and specialty crops, including time with The Groves of Peace River, Heller Brothers Packing Corp., and Classic Caladiums. 

Today, Jake continues that connection on his own family farm. He and his family operate a cow calf operation focused on Red Angus and South Poll seedstock, and he remains actively involved in his family’s citrus business. That day-to-day experience gives him a practical understanding of the decisions you face and the long-term vision it takes to succeed.

Since joining Farm Credit of Florida in 2023, Jake has already built strong relationships with customer-members and earned a reputation as someone who is responsive, dependable, and deeply committed to agriculture.

Jake’s passion extends beyond today’s producers. He is actively involved in shaping the future of the industry through leadership roles, including serving as President of the Florida Farm Bureau Young Farmers and Ranchers Leadership Group.

He has also dedicated time to supporting young, beginning, and small farmers through FFA and other agricultural programs helping ensure the next generation is ready to carry agriculture forward.
